Nana's Pumkin Pie

This recipe as passed down from Jamie Foster and Wanda Foster to Jane Stauffer Foster in 1973 at Jane's wedding shower. This is made every year at the Foster-Stauffer Thanksgiving.

This recipe is doubled for 2 pies.
4 eggs - whole (do not beat)
1 cup sugar (heaping)
2 t. cinnamin
1 pinch of ginger
1/2 t. nutmeg

Mix ingredients. Add 2 cups pumpkin (canned) and 4 cups milk (use 2 cans 12 oz Pets Evaporated Milk and finish off with whole milk). Add milk gradually. Put in uncooked pie shell. Bake for 10 minutes at 450F then bake 40 to 45 minutes at 350F.

  1. how awesome would it be if i liked pumpkin pie? ha. but since it's an heirloom, I'll still enjoy making it sometime. :)
